HEUKING KÜHN LÜER WOJTEK

Comment: This recommended practice in insurance focuses on insurance advice to industrial companies, but the Munich team also often appears at the side of insurers. Here, Lauterbach in particular is increasingly in demand on behalf of D&O insurers for defense against class actions in which, for instance, recourse is taken against managers. In this, the practice benefits from its robust personnel, as large teams can be put together if needed. Palmberger, who is still the figurehead of the practice, has been intensifying his contacts to financial service providers and industrial companies for years, but was recently able to increase work for government agencies: as a result of the insurance advice to the state of Niedersachsen on construction defects in the JadeWeserPort, Heuking was also involved in the instruction for Nordrhein-Westfalen on liability questions concerning state-owned ports. While Schnug is well established in the Cologne office, in other offices several partners still stand to a certain degree in Palmberger’s shadow.
