Dr. Kai Hart-Hönig

Kai Hart-Hoenig has many years of experience in advising both German and foreign companies on the prevention and management of risks caused by fraud and tax-related crime.

According to Who’sWhoLegal Business Crime 2007 Kai Hart-Hoenig is “the country’s ‘stand-out’.”

Before setting up his own law firm  in 2000, Dr Hart-Hoenig’s activities encompassed assistant in the Criminal Law Institute of the Law Faculty of the University of Frankfurt am Main (chair of former vice-president of the German Federal Constitutional Court, Prof Dr Dr hc mult Winfried Hassemer); prosecution counsel at the prosecution’s office Frankfurt am Main in major criminal cases relating to corporate and tax-related crime; partner in the law firms of Clifford Chance Pünder and Oppenhoff Rädler Linklaters & Alliance.

He is a member of the European Criminal Bar Association (vice chairman 2003 – 2008; chairman of Antitrust Working Group), the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association (inter alia Anti-Corruption Committee), International Fiscal Association, Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e V and the Proceeds of Crime Lawyers’ Association.

He is also involved in legislative proceedings as an expert witness, inter alia those which are conducted by the EU Commission and the House of Lords.
