Dr. Truiken J. Heydn

Truiken Heydn specializes in litigation, arbitration, mediation and dispute resolution in the fields of IT, electronics, engineering and plant construction, energy and financial services. Her practice focuses not only on advice and litigation for companies in complex disputes before courts and national and international courts of arbitration, but also alternative dispute resolution, often in connection with copyrights, software law, intellectual property (patents, trademarks and unfair competition) and product liability. Her clients include national and international companies. More than half of her work involves cross-border legal advice.

Truiken Heydn passed the First and Second State Legal Exams in Regensburg in 1993 and 1995 respectively. She became a Doctor of Law in 1997 and worked as an associate at Baker & McKenzie from 1997 until 2002 at the law firm's offices in Frankfurt, Dallas (USA) and Munich. Between 2002 and 2007 she was a partner at Baker & McKenzie's Munich office.

Truiken Heydn publishes articles and lectures on IT law and civil proceedings. She is a member of the German Association for Law and Computer Science (DGRI), the German Association of Intellectual Property Rights (GRUR), the German Institute for Arbitration (DIS) and DRI Europe Defending Business.
