Honert + Partner

Comment: Honert comes recommended in Hamburg for its busy transaction and litigation practice. The firm has established itself as a regular advisor to a number of large Mittelstand companies for M&A deals, incl. some major, high-profile transactions, e.g. K-Mail or Euroimmun on its sale to PerkinElmer. Honert increasingly advises family companies on succession aspects and is branching into the VC scene with advice to founders and investors. The firm suffered a significant setback in December, however, when the two partners Dr. Arnd Weisner and Dr. Sönke Friedrichsen spun off with two associates to form Weiner Partner. Weisner stood out in the market for his extensive litigation in shareholder disputes and representation of issuing houses and funds.
