Comment: This respected team in Frankfurt is getting smaller and going through some changes, with plans to rely on its US parent firm to a greater extent in future. First the entire IP and litigation team around well-known partners Reinhart Lange and Dr. Christofer Eggers left for Squire Patton Boggs. Then the leading member of the employment practice, Dr. Holger Thomas, left with his team for Pusch Wahlig. At the same time, WH expanded its litigation practice by bringing Dr. Vanessa Wettner from Hengeler Müller on board. This new partner specializes in civil and capital markets disputes, as well as IP. Litigation work here focuses in part on regulated industries, where one prominent client was Lufthansa. The well-established IT practice is also strong in litigation, esp. for US companies, where there is close cooperation between the Frankfurt and US offices. M&A work has an international focus, although some prominent clients, such as Coop, are based in Germany.
