HENGELER MUELLER

Comment: HM is respected for restructuring advice and is holding firm to its strategy of not confining its well-known partners to this field. It is notable how HM’s expert knowledge was in demand for numerous major corporate rescue cases (Air Berlin, Steilmann, Jack Wolfskin) despite the quieter restructuring market. HM is clearly doing a good job of combining corporate rescue work with its well-known specialties, among which NPL deals (e.g. from HSH portfolio sales) stood out. Here, the London office advised a number of the investors involved. As a leading outfit for bank regulatory law, the field of bank restructuring is also an obvious playing field for HM.
