PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal

Comment: The development of this recommended corporate practice is particularly interesting, demonstrating the long-promised and hoped for synergies between the tax and corporate practices within a Big Four outfit. The emergence of Dürr and his ability to gain primary corporate work in tandem with PwC’s tax structuring practice is highly significant, since it is the first time that a Big Four practice has been able to take substantial amounts of work away from more established law firms. Otherwise the practice remains Mittelstand-focused and, in common with other MDPs, the lack of emphasis on litigation allows a question mark to be raised as to how far the firm can penetrate the corporate market.
Recommended: Dr. Simon Dürr.
Practice: Predominantly ongoing advice to midsized companies with considerable amounts of restructuring work.
