Eversheds Sutherland

Comment: The practice built up around Munich partner Dr. Joos Hellert has managed to develop both its spectrum and the internationality of its instructions. The tighter integration of the German practice into the expanded, international Eversheds network opens new doors for the German practice. Among other things, product liability specialist Fabian Volz was instructed in the recall of tablet computers on behalf of the German subsidiary of an Asian electronics corporation. The global network also proved useful in arbitration proceedings with links to Saudi Arabia. In Hellert’s stomping ground, i.e. distribution disputes, the addition of renowned antitrust lawyer Martin Bechtold proved to be a big win. Both lawyers are representing furniture manufacturer Cor in much followed proceedings dealing with sensitive issues linked to price fixing by brand manufacturers.
