Kapellmann und Partner

Comment: This respected Düsseldorf M&A practice works for Mittelstand clients in small- and mid-cap transactions. Continuing the development initiated last year, K&P added new, international clients to its advisory portfolio, e.g. a Canadian medical company on acquiring a German competitor and the British Heni Group on an insolvency-related acquisition. The solid network of foreign law firms was an asset here. K&P is increasingly leveraging synergies on the interface with practices like the traditionally strong construction and real estate. One example was interdisciplinary advice on the sale of a combined heat and power plant for a US investor.
Practice: Midsized transactions, occasionally related to the real estate practice ( ?construction). Team almost exclusively based in Düsseldorf. (3 equity partners, 2 salary partners, 3 associates)
Clients: ?? Heni Group on acquisition of photo lab Grieger; Canadian medical company on acquisition of German competitor; Denham Capital on sale of combined heat and power plant as part of share deal; financial investor on acquisition of minority stake in startup; real estate company on acquisition of real estate project.
