Comment: The second year of this Munich transactions boutique respected in M&A was as eventful as the first: with the recruitment of the senior associate from Hengeler Mueller, the firm could open in Lupp’s home town of Hamburg, increasing its access to its core client base of family offices as well as VC-financed companies. A further development was the broadening of Ilina’s practice. She was formerly best known for real estate work but is now increasingly visible acting for strategic M&A clients, with a focus on eastern Europe. Advice has been very partner-centric up to now and with increasing transaction flow the beginning of a more solid associate level was an important development.
