WHITE & CASE

Comment: A highly recommended firm for energy law whose team is known for expertise in regulatory issues and a long track record in transactions. But in the latter, Rosin’s team remains under competitors’ radar in its second year since coming from Clifford, although the excellently connected practice is predestined to secure a large slice of the current advisor pie. One of the highlights in transactions was advice to Gasunie on acquiring Jordgas with Open Grid Europe. Regulatory work, however, makes a strong impression among competitors: Burmeister litigated for network operators in high-profile proceedings, e.g. regarding the determination of equity interest rates for electricity and gas.
Recommended: Dr. Peter Rosin (“impressive ties in the sector and remarkable expertise”, competitor), Thomas Burmeister, Dr. Jörg Kraffel.
