Comment: Noerr comes highly recommended in real estate. The firm used to be mainly associated with high-volume residential portfolio deals, but has now gained a footing in the mid-cap segment, largely thanks to Pospich. As a result, the firm landed some very active clients, e.g. Art-Invest. Noerr is now looking to make inroads in Munich, which is an ambitious task as local competitors include large firms like GSK and Clifford as well as midsized outfits with long-standing connections to the key players. Visibility in real estate finance is increasing: Naujoks’ team, which advises both banks and borrowers, handled a whole series of high-end finance work, e.g. for shopping centers. In the current market, Noerr is benefiting from its integrated approach to advice, which it has pursued longer than most competitors and encompasses finance, traditional real estate, corporate and tax. This was shown by a number of project developments, esp. in eastern Europe, and advice on several complex JV structures, e.g. for Allianz Real Estate.
