WHITE & CASE

Comment: This firm is recommended in real estate and is sharpening its profile in the field of data centers. It thus paid off that young partner Wolf developed a specialty in this segment early on. He was involved in the year’s largest data center transaction in Europe on behalf of Digital Realty, where a portfolio of eight centers in London, Frankfurt and Amsterdam was purchased. The German practice, which is esp. well positioned for cross-border transactions, benefited from close ties to the London office here. Besides transactions, e.g. for Corestate, W&C saw a rise in project development work in line with the market, also incl. data centers. The practice has a strength in finance, as shown by work for Tishman Speyer involving finance for the TaunusTurm deal. The move of Hamburg partner Dr. Stefan Feuerriegel and his team to Norton Rose was a loss: he has strong ties in Hamburg among notable clients like ECE.
Recommended: Endrik Lettau (“calm, confident, impressive”, competitor), Dr. Dr. Holger Wolf, Dr. Thomas Flatten (“very good”, competitor; finance).
