The "Global Business Services" unit supports the business areas of BASF with a cross-functional network and offers modern and needs-based solutions. As a specialized service unit, we stand for a high level of customer orientation and design our services in a spirit of partnership, efficiently and forward-looking.


In our Global Pensions & other Benefits unit, you support and advise the BASF Group companies in Germany and abroad on all legal issues relating to company pension schemes and other benefits.

  • You will take on the processing of legal issues relating to company benefits/social benefits with a focus on company pension schemes.
  • As part of reorganization projects, you will develop concepts, create regulations and support negotiations with employee representatives.
  • In national and international M&A projects, you control the topic of company pension schemes and other benefits/social benefits. This includes, for example, the risk analysis in the due diligence as well as the design of the regulations in the purchase contract.
  • You will also draft statements and presentations on company pension schemes, contribute your expertise to lobbying in Germany and Europe and represent BASF in legal disputes in court.


  • Fully qualified lawyer with above-average exams
  • (First) professional experience in the law of company pension schemes
  • Good communication skills to explain legal issues
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Ability to get involved in interdisciplinary teams in order to achieve success together
